Chronic Illness Therapy

Living life with a chronic illness can be challenging. Depression and anxiety are more common for those with with chronic illness and yet our medical system often fails to take mental health into account. Therapy can be a helpful space to not only address the depression, anxiety, and stress that comes from living with a chronic illness, but also reconnect to all of who you are and remember that chronic illness is just one part of you and your life.

Whether you are seeking support as you are adjusting to a new diagnosis or a “new normal” with an existing chronic illness, experiencing medical trauma, or trying to balance life transitions and relationships with a chronic illness, I might be a good fit for you.

My therapy office is not like a medical office. You and I are collaborators; I’m not here to tell you what you have to do. I am here as someone who also has lived experience with chronic illness to support you in having a different relationship with yourself and in building your capacity to navigate all the ebbs and flows in life and in chronic illness.

Life with a chronic illness can be challenging, and at the same time, there is still great capacity for joy and connection.
